It's safe to say my memory doesn't last 14 years. I first finished Small Gods in December 2012. I've done it again nearly 14 years later. I remembered two names, Brutha and Vorbis. Little else.

Is it still a great book? Yes. Any book that puts God in perspective is a great book. And this one even has philosophers. Terry Pratchet might be having too much fun with this one. It's also about beliefs (surprise?) but more in relation to Gods.

It's a dark book too, with all the torturing (what's good is a book about religion without torturing?). Didn't remember that one bit. Lu-Tze was even here! Messing everything again. I wonder how much I forgot about Soul Music.

Celebrated with a bowl of Mung bean soup. Though sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy because I bought the ladle to get the soup in the bowl.
